Azerbaijan’s demining drive covers 1,266.9 hectares in one week

Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has cleared a total of 1,266.9 hectares of land from mines and unexploded explosive devices in territories liberated from occupation between May 11 and 17.

The agency’s latest weekly report shows that clearance operations were carried out across multiple districts, including Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavand, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, Gazakh, Zangilan, as well as the city of Khankendi.

During this period, specialists discovered and neutralised 32 anti-personnel mines, 25 anti-tank mines, and 378 unexploded ordnance items.
