Azerbaijani army destroys only military targets during anti-terror measures Statement by FM

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has said that the Azerbaijani army, demonstrating high professionalism during anti-terrorist measures, destroyed only military Armenian targets.

“Settlements were not damaged. Armenian servicemen were forced to accept our demands a day after local anti-terrorist measures,” APA reports.

The minister emphasised that for 3 years, Armenia rejected the hand extended by Azerbaijan.

“Despite the fact that during the occupation our lands were devastated, cities and villages were razed to the ground, immediately after the liberation of the territories, the President of Azerbaijan called for peace and expressed the readiness of the Azerbaijani side to work on a peace agreement, turning the page on hostility,” Bayramov said.

 He noted that over the past three years, all steps towards peace have been taken by the Azerbaijani side.
