Azerbaijani families receive keys to new homes in Shushakend, Karabakh Under Great Return / PHOTO

Residents returning to the village of Shushakend in Azerbaijan’s Khojaly district have been handed the keys to their new homes.

The Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Khankendi, as well as representatives from the Aghdara and Khojaly districts and the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, attended the handover ceremony, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

With the latest handover, the total number of families resettled in Shushakend has reached 42, comprising 175 individuals.

A new group of former internally displaced persons (IDPs) are returning to the village of Shushakend in the Khojaly district.

According to local media, 27 families, comprising 116 people, will be resettled in the village at this stage.

With this latest return, the total number of residents who have come back to Shushakend reaches 175.
