Foreign diplomats visit Karabakh University during regional familiarisation tour Photo
A delegation of foreign diplomats accredited in Azerbaijan visited the city of Khankendi on April 18 as part of a broader familiarisation trip to Karabakh, which also includes stops in Shusha.
The diplomatic corps, comprising ambassadors and senior advisers, was given an overview of reconstruction efforts and current developments in the region, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The visit is intended to provide first-hand insight into conditions on the ground following the recent reintegration of the territory.
One of the key stops on the itinerary was Karabakh University in Khankendi, where diplomats were briefed on the institution's academic programmes and infrastructure. They toured the facilities and received detailed information about the university's role in the region's educational and cultural revitalisation.
Later in the day, the delegation is expected to travel to Shusha, where they will visit the Ashaghi Govhar Agha Mosque, Karabakh Street, and the city’s first residential complex.
