Former Georgian president intends to return to politics
Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili intends to participate in the election campaign as a representative of the "National Movement - Victory Platform".
He stated about this during the trial, when he joined from the "Vivamed" clinic, Interfax reports.
"Today is the first time that I am directly involved in the campaign. I directly accept myself as a representative of the "National Movement - Victory Platform". I remain a loyal citizen of Ukraine. I want to remind everyone that Bidzina Ivanishvili ran for office as a citizen of the European Union and this precedent exists in Georgia. Considering this precedent, I want everyone to know that we will definitely win, the main thing is that a lot of people prepare to go to the elections.
Georgia should be free, freedom will fix everything. Georgia should be without the influence of oligarchs; Of course, Georgia should be in Europe and then you will all find a common language. We all have a big fight ahead of us. I'm ready for this fight no matter what physical problems I have, and I certainly have them from time to time. Know one thing - I came here to sacrifice myself for the motherland and for each of you. I am sure that nothing can stand in the way of our victory", said Mikheil Saakashvili.
