French lawyers call to punish Karabakh separatists for human rights violations
The French human rights organization "Coordination of Associations and Individuals for Freedom of Conscience" (CAP LC) has published a statement on the launch of a campaign to identify facts of massive violations of the rights of residents of Armenian origin by the illegal regime that existed in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan for 30 years.
According to Report, the corresponding statement was posted on the organization’s website on October 19.
It states that the Azerbaijani authorities must restore justice and punish the “leaders” of the illegal regime for the sake of both the victims of the Khojaly tragedy and the suffering of residents of Armenian origin.
“To achieve peace, justice, and restoration of the violated rights of residents of Armenian origin during the years of occupation are necessary. In this regard, during the trial of former field commanders, Azerbaijan must ensure the identification of violations of the rights of the Armenian population of Karabakh by the illegal regime,” the statement emphasizes.
In order to bring to the attention of the international community facts related to human rights violations, the “Karabakh Human Rights Awareness Campaign” launched by CAP LC last year continues its activities in Karabakh.
The statement by French human rights activists is a response to Emmanuel Macron, who has been on the agenda since 2020 with his biased position against Azerbaijan.
Paris, which claims to be a fair and impartial mediator in resolving the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Karabakh, has said it openly supports Armenia's aggressive policies during the presidency of Emmanuel Macron.
