Georgia eyes closer strategic partnership with US, says PM Kobakhidze

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that Tbilisi intends to renew its strategic partnership with the United States.

According to Kobakhidze, the Georgian side raised the issue during recent talks at the US State Department, Caliber.Az reports per Georgian media.

“Our position is the same as what we state publicly. We want to restart our strategic partnership with the US from a clean slate, with a concrete roadmap. We are extending our hand and patiently awaiting a response. I hope there will be a reply from the American side. These are our optimistic expectations. We will see how events unfold,” Kobakhidze noted.
