Governor: Kursk region to be reinforced with additional troops
Russia's Kursk Region Governor Roman Starovoit has said that additional military personnel will arrive in the region soon.
According to him, this is necessary to fulfil the tasks of protecting the border and ensuring the region's security. On January 29, the Kursk region was shelled twice, one person was wounded, Kursk Investia reports.
"An additional contingent is arriving in the region in the next few days. We talked about this at a meeting of the operational headquarters. Instructions have been given, it is necessary to provide comprehensive support for the reception and deployment of additional forces and means so that the military personnel can begin to perform tasks to protect the state border and ensure the security of the Kursk region as soon as possible," Starovoit said.
