“A short while ago, dozens of Air Force fighter jets, under the direction of the Military Intelligence Directorate, completed a large-scale strike on Iran’s strategic defence systems,” the military said.
The IDF stated that Iran had recently deployed air defence systems in several parts of the country as part of efforts to restore its detection and protection capabilities following damage sustained during Operation Rising Lion. The latest strikes, it said, resulted in the destruction of those systems.
Israeli forces also conducted what the military described as a “deep strike” against Iran’s defence infrastructure.
“The attacks completed today further expand the Israeli Air Force’s freedom of operation in Iranian airspace,” the statement said.
