Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed Dauren Kosanov as the new Minister of Defence following the dismissal of his predecessor, Ruslan Zhaksylykov.
The president also dismissed Marat Karabayev from his position as Minister of Transport, who had previously received a formal reprimand, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Kazakh president's press service.
So far, Tokayev's press service has not made an official announcement on who will replace Karabayev.
