NAM Youth Summit participants check shot monuments in Azerbaijan’s Shusha
The Youth Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) continued with the Shusha segment on July 29.
After the meeting, young people from more than 60 member countries of the NAM checked the shot monuments of prominent Azerbaijani personalities Khurshidbanu Natavan, Bulbul, and Uzeyir Hajibeyov in the central square of the city of Shusha, Report informs.
The guests were told that during the period of occupation, the Armenians took these monuments to Armenia to melt them down.
At the initiative of national leader Heydar Aliyev, these monuments were taken out of Armenia and brought to Azerbaijan, and kept in the courtyard of the Art Museum in Baku.
After the liberation of Shusha from the Armenian occupation, these monuments were brought back to their place.
