New visa category C5 for foreign nationals under consideration in Georgia
Georgia is contemplating the introduction of a new visa category, C5, for foreign nationals.
The proposed amendments to the country's immigration laws are currently under review by the Georgian Parliament, Caliber.Az reports per Georgian media.
According to local media reports, the new visa would be a short-term, multiple-entry visa valid for up to five years. It would allow holders to stay in Georgia for up to one year. The visa is intended primarily for tourists and individuals working for foreign companies, provided their work is not based in Georgia but is conducted outside the country.
In addition to the applicants themselves, the visa would also extend to their spouses and minor children, allowing families to enjoy the benefits of this new visa scheme.
