Over 10,600 returnees employed in Azerbaijan's liberated territories
Azerbaijan’s “Great Return” programme has provided employment opportunities for more than 10,600 residents who have returned to territories liberated from decades of occupation, according to the country’s Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
The ministry said that 881 returnees have launched small family businesses through a state-backed self-employment initiative aimed at supporting economic reintegration in the recovered regions, Caliber.Az reports.
In addition, 505 residents have been enrolled in vocational training courses across various professional fields. Authorities noted that participants who successfully completed the training programs were subsequently assisted in securing jobs.
The “Great Return” program is part of Azerbaijan’s broader reconstruction and resettlement strategy in territories liberated following the 2020 war with Armenia.
