Former IDPs return to three Azerbaijani villages PHOTO
Former Azerbaijani IDPs are being relocated to the villages of Guzeykhirman and Guneykhirman in the Khojavand district, and to Kichik Galadara in the Shusha district, as part of the Great Return program, in line with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s directive.
In the first stage, 18 families comprising 82 people returned to Guzeykhirman, while 21 families comprising 103 people moved to Guneykhirman, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
A further 11 families, or 39 people, moved back to Kichik Galadara.
They had previously lived temporarily in various regions of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums and administrative buildings,
The returning residents expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state support provided to them.
They also thanked the Azerbaijani Army and the servicemen and officers who liberated the territories from occupation, and paid tribute to those killed during the hostilities.
