Qatar Airways launches weekly cargo route linking Doha, Yerevan, Tbilisi

Qatar Airways has launched a new weekly cargo service connecting Doha with Yerevan and Tbilisi, expanding freight links across the South Caucasus amid rapidly growing air cargo demand in Georgia.

The route, operating as Doha–Yerevan–Tbilisi–Doha, received approval from Georgia's Civil Aviation Agency and will be served by Boeing 777 freighter aircraft, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.

The launch comes as Georgia's air freight sector records strong growth. Cargo volumes handled in the country reached a record 38,578 tonnes in 2025, marking a 50% increase from the previous year and more than double the level recorded in 2023.
