Romanian delegation reviews economic and infrastructure plans in Khankendi PHOTO
A delegation led by Romanian Senator Cristian Augustin Niculescu-Țâgârlaș, representing Maramures province and serving as a member of the Romanian-Azerbaijani Interparliamentary Friendship Group, visited Khankendi.
According to the public relations department of the Service for Restoration, Construction, and Management in Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, cited by domestic media, a meeting with the delegation took place today, August 22.
During the discussions, officials emphasised that ensuring sustainable settlement in Khankendi, as well as restoring infrastructure and revitalising the economy, remain priority areas.
The city has established a favourable environment for investors, attracting investments totalling over 56 million manats ($32.9 million) so far.
Currently, approximately 2,200 people are employed at existing business facilities, with projections indicating that job opportunities will exceed 5,000 by the end of the year as additional facilities are commissioned.
