Serbian FM set for key discussions with Azerbaijani counterpart
Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric will visit Azerbaijan on September 2.
During his visit, Djuric is scheduled to hold a series of meetings and discussions with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia were formally established in 1996. Over the years, both countries have worked to strengthen these ties through mutual visits by officials and diplomatic dialogues. High-level meetings have been instrumental in deepening cooperation in several areas, including trade, energy, and political collaboration.
Economic cooperation has been a significant focus in the bilateral relationship. Azerbaijan, rich in energy resources, has been a valuable partner for Serbia, particularly in energy sectors. Both countries have explored opportunities for investment and trade, with Serbia looking to benefit from Azerbaijan's energy resources and Azerbaijan seeking to expand its economic footprint in the Balkan region.
