Shadow election bribes: Pashinyan's tactics for upcoming elections
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has urged his party members to focus solely on the electoral process, distancing them from external geopolitical developments.
This approach is highlighted in a report by the Yerevan-based newspaper Hraparak, which outlines the Prime Minister's directives aimed at strengthening party engagement within local communities, according to Caliber.Az.
“A few months ago, Nikol Pashinyan urged the party ranks to think only about the upcoming elections, the rest, referring to external developments, is his problem. To this end, the governors, and the Civil Contract party officials of the administrative districts of Yerevan were instructed to form working groups that include MPs, ministers, as well as active party members residing in the community in question, so that all of them are involved,” the newspaper wrote.
The newspaper says “Priority is given to closer contact with citizens and the issues they raise are resolved indiscriminately in order to go to the elections stronger. These working groups meet once a month, distribute work, trying to meet everyone's needs.”
“That is, in fact, Pashinyan has used all the mechanisms of shadow election bribes before the elections. And election bribes are considered not only the distribution of money, but also the resolution of voters' issues," the newspaper writes.
