Türkiye arrests 133 over Israel-linked forex fraud scheme

Authorities in Türkiye have arrested 133 suspects in connection with an international forex fraud scheme that they link to Israel.

According to investigators, the scheme operated through 25 companies and about 40 call centres and financial offices, where money was collected from citizens under the guise of investment activities, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.

A total of 213 people were detained in the case. Of these, 24 were released after questioning, while judicial control measures were imposed on 56.

Authorities also said assets belonging to the suspects worth about 1.5 billion Turkish lira ($30 million) had been seized, along with 80 cars and 12 properties.
