Türkiye arrests two suspects over plot to assassinate justice minister

Turkish authorities have arrested two suspects on suspicion of plotting to assassinate Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç Gürlek and his wife.

During searches of the suspects' homes, police seized two unregistered firearms, ammunition and 3.206 million Turkish lira (approximately $68,236) in cash, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.

Investigators have provisionally concluded that the suspects were planning to purchase flights abroad and were receiving instructions from individuals outside Türkiye.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released further details about the alleged plot.
