Zangilan's revitalization: A glimpse into future of Azerbaijan’s city PHOTO/VIDEO
Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, has unveiled a 3D visualization of the ambitious plan to reconstruct Zangilan, a city recently liberated from Armenian occupation during the Patriotic War in autumn 2020.
New Zangilan will feature distinctive modern architecture and will prioritize creating optimal living conditions for its residents, Caliber.Az reports.
The redevelopment plan includes the construction of new residential and commercial buildings, with active construction already underway.
The project is part of the broader I State Program on the Great Return, which aims to restore 100 settlements in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories by 2026.
By the end of this year, it is anticipated that 80 per cent of the territorial planning work will be completed, setting the stage for a vibrant and revitalized Zangilan that reflects the region's rich history and culture while embracing contemporary urban design.
The revival of Zangilan symbolizes a significant step forward in restoring the identity and infrastructure of the area, highlighting Azerbaijan's commitment to its liberated regions.
