Azerbaijani human rights activist, head of the "Woman: Peace and Security" Centre under the Azerbaijani Society for Protection of Women's Rights Dilara Afandiyeva has addressed Azerbaijani citizens of Armenian origin living in the area where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed during the protest of the Azerbaijani public on the section of the Shusha-Khankandi highway in Karabakh.

Despite the attempts made by separatists and self-proclaimed "state minister” of the bandit regime in Karabakh Ruben Vardanyan to put pressure on local residents and prevent their talks with the Azerbaijani human rights activist, the number of phone calls has greatly increased compared to previous days, Caliber.Az reports, citing the human rights activist.

“Taking into account that there are numerous appeals, my colleagues and me decided to create a hotline at our centre. We are ready to promptly respond to the requests of our compatriots if they have humanitarian problems and make every effort to solve them. The hotline number is +994702779911. We guarantee confidentiality to all residents of the Karabakh region who have applied to us,” she said.

The human rights activist also called on the Karabakh Armenians not to be afraid of reprisals from the remaining gangs and to establish a dialogue with the Azerbaijani side.

“Our peoples need dialogue. Only by communicating with each other, we can understand each other's problems and jointly solve them. This will help to speed up the integration processes and will serve to achieve cohabitation,” Afandiyeva added.
