Polish government: Absolutely unacceptable statements appear on Ukrainian side
WORLD 21 September 2023 - 18:48
At the moment, Poland continues to supply weapons to Ukraine under previously agreed contracts.
This rule also applies to the transfer of Krab howitzers, the spokesman for the Polish government, Piotr Muller said, according to РАР.
“In the context of questions about arms supplies, I would like to inform you that Poland is only carrying out previously agreed supplies of ammunition and weapons. Including those that arise from contracts signed with Ukraine,” he said, adding that this, in particular, is the “largest foreign contract” signed by the Polish arms industry since 1989, for the supply of the Krab howitzer gun.
Muller also said that “a number of “absolutely unacceptable statements and diplomatic gestures” have appeared on the Ukrainian side, which Poland does not accept. But, nevertheless, according to him, an international assistance hub still operates in Poland.
“In the first months of the war, Poland provided key tanks, armoured vehicles, aircraft and ammunition for the defence of Ukraine, which were necessary to prevent a Russian attack on Ukraine and in the future on other EU countries, including Poland. In the first months of the war, when other EU countries were discussing support, Poland consistently helped repel the Russian attack,” Müller concluded.
