Azerbaijan, Iraq discuss prospects for more effective cooperation

President of the Republic of Iraq Abdullatif Jamal Rashid has received Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Iraq Nasir Mammadov.
The sides emphasised the expansion of ties between Azerbaijan and Iraq within the spheres determined by the presidents, the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The development of the Azerbaijani-Iraqi partnership is at a satisfactory level. The possibilities of realising economic potential were considered.
There are prospects for more effective cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic, energy, non-oil and gas, tourism and other spheres.
The issues discussed during the visit of the Azerbaijani delegation will make a great contribution to the development of effective bilateral cooperation.
