Minister affirms Hungary's commitment to peace mission for Ukraine conflict resolution
Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó has stated that Hungary remains committed to its peace efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
"Hungary will conduct multiple meetings in the upcoming week towards this objective. The recent attacks will not deter us. We will intensify our peace efforts, and I caution European politicians advocating for war to proceed with caution next week," he noted, Caliber.Az reports citing the Russian media.
In a video message on his Facebook page, Szijjártó remarked that the visits of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to Kyiv and Moscow on July 2 and 5 drew not only dissatisfaction from EU leaders but also support from some European politicians.
Szijjártó stated that Hungary was under attack from those who, over the past two and a half years, have consistently exacerbated the military crisis in Europe through arms transfers, discussions of deploying ground troops, and speculation about the use of nuclear weapons.
