Matthew Bryza: Energy, light and life returning to Karabakh
ECONOMICS 03 June 2022 - 14:01
Former US Ambassador to Azerbaijan and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Matthew Bryza has said that energy, light and life are returning to Karabakh.
Bryza, who is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Jamestown Foundation and Overgas, made the remarks at the Baku Congress Centre during his presentation "Energy. Light. Life" on June 3, Report informs.
"Energy, light and, consequently, life are returning to Karabakh, as the Azerbaijani government cooperates with global companies such as BP to develop clean energy supplies on the liberated lands of Azerbaijan, with the aim of creating green economic zones in the region," he said.
Bryza stressed the high level of organisation and holding of the 27th Baku Energy Forum, as well as the issues discussed.
He said in his speech that new technologies allow us to produce and consume energy in ways that allow life to flourish, not only as the life of humanity, but also the life of our planet.
These new technologies range from innovations in more traditional fields such as mechanical engineering to advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.
