Armenian armed forces fire on Azerbaijani positions in Nakhchivan Prompting retaliation

On September 26, at approximately 16:10, units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire using large-caliber machine guns from their positions toward the Aravus settlement in Gorus region, targeting Azerbaijani army positions near the Lakyatag settlement in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The incident has escalated tensions in the region, Caliber.Az reports citing Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry.

In response to the aggression, Azerbaijani forces undertook retaliatory measures to safeguard their positions.

This exchange of fire highlights ongoing hostilities along the border, raising concerns about the stability and security of the region.
