Interview with Ilham Aliyev for local TV channels captivates Georgian media PHOTO

The interview of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev with local TV channels on January 7 was the focus of attention in Georgian media.

Materials from President Ilham Aliyev's interview were published on the websites interpressnews.ge, 1tv.ge, 24news.ge, qafqazturk.com, ambebi.ge, resonancedaily.com, and the Public Television channel, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Interpressnews.ge quoted the President of Azerbaijan: "Arming Armenia will simply lead to new tensions. We do not want this. We want peace. Armenia is actually a source of threat to the region. The independent Armenian state is, in fact, a fascist state. Because, if this country has been led by proponents of fascist ideology for nearly 30 years, they have shaped this country the way they did."

In the news broadcast by Public Television (1tv.ge), it was stated that Armenia should not act as a geographical barrier between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, and the Zangezur Corridor must be opened.

In another report, President Aliyev's remarks were highlighted, where he expressed his support for peace in the South Caucasus, the severe consequences of arming Armenia for Armenia itself, and the development of relations with the European Commission.

The portal 24news.ge reported on the President's statements regarding the Zangezur Corridor. The articles also mentioned the end of the Soros era in America. The Biden administration had essentially been controlled in the style of Soros. Emphasizing that Soros supporters are losing their influence, the President noted that the Armenian leadership should take this into account.

"The Assad dictatorship, has already been consigned to the dustbin of history and this will continue, so they should take the right step. We, as Azerbaijan, are not a source of danger for them. We want peace and cooperation in the South Caucasus. They should not be in the way. They should not act as a geographical barrier between Türkiye and Azerbaijan. The Zangezur corridor must and will be opened. The sooner they understand this, the better it is," he added.

Furthermore, news on the websites qafqazturk.com, ambebi.ge, and resonancedaily.ge included the President's views on Armenia's armament, the problems it creates in the region, and the European Commission.
