Slovakia, Azerbaijan to present joint mortar system at ADEX-2026

Slovakia to present joint mortar system with Azerbaijan at ADEX-2026 international defence industry exhibition, which will be held from 30 September to 2 October, Slovakia’s Defence Minister Robert Kaliňák has said.

In an interview with Azerbaijani media, he said this is one of the largest exhibitions in the region, Caliber.Az reports.

“It is our first time in Azerbaijan. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to participate, as ADEX has become a very important defence industry exhibition not only in this region, but on a much broader scale,” Kaliňák noted.

He stressed that Slovakia would participate in the event with its own national pavilion.

“We are very pleased to have the opportunity to be part of the exhibition and to present a separate Slovak pavilion featuring Slovak companies,” the defence minister added.

Kaliňák also said that the exhibition would feature the first joint product resulting from Slovak-Azerbaijani cooperation in the defence sector — an automated mortar system.

“In addition, we will have the opportunity to demonstrate the first outcome of our joint cooperation — an automated mortar system. The following day, this system will also be presented at another pavilion,” he outlined.

The minister further stated that talks with a number of defence ministers visiting ADEX-2026 were scheduled to take place during the exhibition.
