Ukraine will never forget Azerbaijan’s support for children, envoy says

Ukraine's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev has thanked Azerbaijan for supporting Ukrainian children affected by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, saying his country "will never forget this."

Speaking to journalists at Baku airport, where a group of children from Ukraine's Kharkiv and Kherson regions arrived, he said Ukraine highly appreciates the support provided to children and thanks President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the government and the entire Azerbaijani people, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

“We will never forget this," he added.

The diplomat noted that Azerbaijan's rehabilitation program for Ukrainian children brings together children from the two countries, as well as their families and peoples.

"This is a very important program that brings together children from Ukraine and Azerbaijan, as well as our families and peoples. Thank you very much, Azerbaijan," the ambassador stressed.
