Azerbaijani troops complete multinational military exercise in Uzbekistan
Military personnel from Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Pakistan took part in the international special tactical exercise Eternal Brotherhood-V, held in Uzbekistan. The exercise lasted about 10 days and included both theoretical and practical training.
The drills began with an opening ceremony at the Institute of Ground Forces, according to Uzbek media.
During the training, the military personnel practised coordination during special operations, exchanged experience and improved their tactical skills in conditions resembling modern combat environments.
The program included fire, mountain, special tactical, engineering, tactical, and medical training. Particular attention was paid to the practical use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and countering them.
During practical UAV exercises, the military personnel identified the area where a simulated enemy was located and conducted reconnaissance. A special operation to detain and eliminate simulated illegal armed groups was then carried out in an urban environment.
The participants also conducted airborne landings in designated areas, practised destroying UAVs and carried out strikes against designated targets.
Sergeant 3rd Class Abror Khudoykulov noted that the exercise involved practising counter-UAV operations and capturing buildings in small groups. According to him, the training helped improve coordination skills and the ability to carry out joint tasks under various conditions.
Azerbaijani representative Warrant Officer Ravshan Amirli said military personnel from different countries were brought together by common tasks during the exercise and studied modern methods of warfare.
Lieutenant Colonel of the Turkish Armed Forces Çetin Toraman highlighted the opportunity to conduct theoretical and practical training sessions and exchange experience.
Following the exercise, the various stages and completed tasks were analysed, and the participants exchanged views. Military personnel who actively participated in the exercise were presented with awards.
