Azerbaijani parliament to approve MoU with UN Climate Secretariat

Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis is set to approve a memorandum of understanding with the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement.

The draft document was discussed at a meeting of the parliamentary Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Following the discussions, the bill was recommended for consideration at a plenary session of parliament.

The bill seeks to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement on the Fourth Climate Week and the 30th Meeting of the Adaptation Committee.
