ASTRA: Russia's Usman oil depot ablaze after overnight attack PHOTO / VIDEO

The Usman oil depot in Russia’s Lipetsk region came under attack on the night of January 5 to 6 and is presently remains ablaze, according to an OSINT analysis by the Telegram channel ASTRA.

Residents of the town of Usman in the Lipetsk region reported explosions and a fire at an oil depot. The regional governor confirmed a fire at an industrial facility but did not specify which one.

“After a drone crashed, a fire broke out at an industrial site in the Usmansky district. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or injuries. Emergency services are working at the scene,” the regional head wrote.

According to ASTRA’s analysis of eyewitness footage circulating online, the attack caused a fire at Usmanskaya Oil Depot LLC, located in the village of Streletskie Khutora. In particular, a video published by the Ukrainian project Exilenova+, ASTRA says, was filmed from Zheleznodorozhnaya Street. The distance from the filming location to the oil depot is approximately 1.9 km.

According to open-source data, Usmanskaya Oil Depot LLC is engaged in the sale, storage, and transshipment of petroleum products, and also provides petroleum transportation services using its own vehicle fleet.
