Axios: Israeli strike on Iran energy facility approved by Washington
Israel carried out an airstrike on a major gas facility in Iran with the approval of the United States, Axios journalist Barak Ravid wrote on X, citing a senior US official.
He said the Israeli Air Force targeted Iran’s largest natural gas processing plant located in the southwest of the country. The operation was conducted in coordination with Washington and received prior US authorisation.

According to the official, the strike focused on a critical component of Iran’s energy infrastructure.
Earlier reports indicated that parts of the South Pars gas field, as well as facilities in Asaluyeh, were damaged in what was described as a joint US-Israeli attack.
