Xi Jinping vows to maintain China’s peaceful foreign policy
Chinese President Xi Jinping said the country would remain committed to an independent and peaceful foreign policy as China prepares to mark the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Xi made the remarks at a gala reception held at the Great Hall of the People ahead of China’s National Day on October 1, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
He said China would continue to pursue an independent and peaceful foreign policy, implement the four global initiatives, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. Xi added that these efforts would bring greater confidence and positive momentum to a changing and turbulent world.
October 1 is celebrated as China’s National Day, marking the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949.
