Two tankers hit in separate incidents in Strait of Hormuz

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has reported two separate incidents involving tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.

In the first incident, a liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker was struck by an unknown projectile. The report of the incident was received with a delay, and authorities are investigating the circumstances.

In the second incident, a tanker travelling on an inbound course was also struck by an unknown projectile. The report concerning this incident was likewise received with a delay.

The circumstances surrounding both incidents remain under investigation.

UKMTO advised vessels to exercise caution while transiting the Strait of Hormuz and to report any suspicious activity.
