Azerbaijan Airlines announces regular flights to Karabakh Maintains ticket prices to Nakhchivan
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has announced the launch of regular flights to Karabakh, marking a historic first for the national air carrier.
Starting July 13, AZAL will operate flights from Baku to Fuzuli twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The cost of a one-way ticket for the Baku-Fuzuli route is set at 78 manats ($45). This price includes hand luggage up to 10 kg and checked baggage up to 23 kg. Tickets will soon be available for purchase on the AZAL website.
In a report to Caliber.Az, Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC shared these developments, emphasizing the airline's expansion of domestic routes. Despite these new additions, the cost of air tickets for the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku route remains unchanged for Azerbaijani citizens, as per the decision of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. This decision takes into account the social significance of the route, while prices for foreign citizens will be determined according to commercial conditions.
However, the Ministry also reported an increase in prices for other domestic flights. The new fares are as follows:
- Baku-Nakhchivan: 70 manats ($41)
- Baku-Fuzuli: 78 manats ($45)
- Baku-Zangilan: 83 manats ($48)
- Baku-Ganja: 84 manats ($49)
- Baku-Gabala: 65 manats ($38)
- Baku-Lankaran: 65 manats ($38)
- Baku-Zagatala: 84 manats ($49)
- Nakhchivan-Ganja: 60 manats ($35)
These adjustments reflect the Ministry's efforts to balance operational costs with service expansion, ensuring connectivity across the country.
