Azerbaijan reshuffles diplomatic posts, appoints new envoys to Türkiye, Uzbekistan Presidential Order

President Ilham Aliyev has approved a reshuffle of Azerbaijan's diplomatic corps, appointing new ambassadors to Türkiye and Uzbekistan, according to presidential orders.

Rashad Aslanov has been relieved of his duties as Azerbaijan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Italy, Malta and San Marino.

He has also been recalled from his posts as the country's Permanent Representative to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP), and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

Under a separate presidential order, Aslanov has been appointed Azerbaijan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Türkiye.

In a related move, Rashad Mammadov has been relieved of his duties as Azerbaijan's ambassador to Türkiye.

A separate order signed by President Aliyev appoints Mammadov as Azerbaijan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan.
