Azerbaijan to create two new national parks Presidential order

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an order establishing the Akhar-Bakhar and Ilisu National Parks.

According to the document, the Akhar-Bakhar National Park will cover an area of 23,901.99 hectares, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Land for the park will be allocated from the state reserve funds of the Samukh, Yevlakh, and Gakh districts.

The Ilisu National Park will occupy an area of 13,966.0 hectares, with land allocated from the state reserve funds of the Zagatala and Gakh districts.
