Azerbaijani military leadership visits Victory Park PHOTO/VIDEO

On September 27, Azerbaijani Defence Minister, Col-Gen Zakir Hasanov, and other high-ranking officers of the ministry visited Victory Park, which is under construction in Baku.

The leadership of the Ministry and a group of military personnel laid flowers on the memorial stone at the park entrance, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

On September 27, Azerbaijan marks Remembrance Day, honouring the memories of the heroes who lost their lives fighting in the Second Garabagh War (2020), also known as the “Patriotic War.”

The war, which lasted 44 days in 2020, saw Azerbaijani forces liberate the lands from nearly three decades of illegal occupation by Armenia.
