Turkish, Azerbaijani first ladies explore climate change solutions at COP29
Türkiye's First Lady, Emine Erdogan, shared a post on social media highlighting her meeting with Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and the spouses of various world leaders attending the COP29 climate summit in Baku.
In a post, Emine Erdogan reflected on the presentations delivered by young people, emphasizing their pivotal role in shaping a better world, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
She noted their inspiring contributions to projects addressing climate change, stating that youth are "our main guarantee for a better future."
Erdogan also highlighted her work on Türkiye's Zero Waste initiative, a global movement aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental preservation.
"The Global Zero Waste movement sends a powerful message about our collective responsibility to safeguard the planet for future generations," she wrote.
She thanked those who have supported the cause and signed the Global Zero Waste Declaration of Goodwill, welcoming them into the Zero Waste community.
In closing, she expressed hope that with the leadership of young people, the world could move toward a cleaner, more sustainable future.
