Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree introducing additional measures to digitalise operations related to import, export, transit, transportation, and logistics.

The decree aims to enhance the mechanisms of public administration in regulating foreign trade operations and to ensure effective coordination among government agencies involved in import, export, transit, transportation, and logistics activities. As part of this initiative, a “single window” information system will be established.

Through this system, the following foreign trade operations will be conducted digitally:

  • Submission of required documents, including commercial and transport documentation;

  • Electronic preparation of documents and data concerning vehicles and transported goods;

  • Provision of information on border-crossing procedures, regulations, and transportation conditions, as well as the reception and processing of user inquiries;

  • Execution of electronic contracts for cargo transportation;

  • Real-time tracking of transported goods along the entire route;

  • Processing of payments and access to statistical information related to foreign trade activities.

The system will be owned by the Cabinet of Ministers, with operational management assigned to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
