Earlier, Iran launched a large-scale missile assault on multiple US military facilities across the Middle East, in retaliation for ongoing US and Israeli strikes on its territory.

In this vein, a missile strike was reported against the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters in Al-Juffair in Bahrain. Local sources cited by CBS News confirmed that a major American military installation in the country had been targeted.
