Erdogan expresses gratitude for Azerbaijan’s firefighting assistance During phone talk with President Aliyev
On August 17, President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a phone call to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Noting that Türkiye highly appreciates Azerbaijan's readiness to provide the necessary support to suppress the forest fires that occurred in the country, President Erdogan emphasized that the Be-200ChS amphibious aircraft was needed to extinguish the fires, and expressed gratitude for the decision to send such an aircraft from Azerbaijan to Türkiye. The Turkish president regarded this as another manifestation of fraternal relations and strategic alliance between our countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani president's press service.
Having announced that the Be-200ChS amphibious aircraft will be sent to Türkiye as soon as possible, President Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan is ready to provide any additional support to the fraternal country to suppress the fires.
The heads of state noted that Azerbaijan and Türkiye are always close to each other and constantly support each other.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views took place on the prospects of Azerbaijani-Turkish friendly, fraternal and allied relations.
