President Ilham Aliyev honours Azerbaijan Paralympic team with high awards
President Ilham Aliyev has issued a decree recognizing the exceptional achievements of the Azerbaijan Paralympic National Team at the XVII Summer Paralympic Games held in Paris.
In recognition of their outstanding performances, Orkhan Aslanov and Lamiya Valiyeva have been awarded the prestigious "Shohrat" Order. Imamaddin Khalilov and Said Najafzadeh have been honored with the "For Service to the Fatherland" Order of the I degree. Raman Saley and Ilham Zakiyev have received the "For Service to the Fatherland" Order of the II degree, while Sabir Zeynalov has been awarded the "For Service to the Fatherland" Order of the III degree, Caliber.Az reports, citing the official website of the President of Azerbaijan.
In addition to these honors, the President has also announced financial rewards for the athletes and their coaches based on their performance. Athletes who secured first place will receive 200,000 manats ($117,000), with their coaches earning 100,000 manats ($58,800). Those who achieved second place will be awarded 100,000 manats ($58,800), with their coaches receiving 50,000 manats ($29,400). Athletes who finished in third place will receive 50,000 manats ($29,400), and their coaches will be awarded 25,000 manats ($14,700).
