President Ilham Aliyev: Shusha Media Forum growing in scope and importance
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has expressed confidence in the continued relevance and growth of the Shusha Global Media Forum, stating that it has already established itself as a regular platform for international dialogue.
“The Shusha Media Forum has already become traditional. So, I hope that this tradition will continue. As the time passes by, we have more guests, more geographical coverage,” President Aliyev said in his address at the opening of the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum, which began on July 19 in the city of Khankendi, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The head of state emphasised the importance of such platforms for fostering open dialogue among media professionals and policymakers from around the world.
“This once again shows that there is a big need for open discussions in a friendly atmosphere on the most important topics including not only the agenda of media communities, but the issues of global agenda,” he added.
Held under the theme “Digital Pathways: Strengthening Information and Media Resilience in the Age of AI,” the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum has brought together approximately 140 international guests from 52 countries, including representatives of over 30 news agencies, 7 international organisations, and around 80 media institutions.
The forum will run until July 21 and features panel discussions, expert sessions, and field visits to Aghdam and Lachin, highlighting the post-conflict recovery and reconstruction efforts in Azerbaijan's liberated territories.
