Fourth Shusha Global Media Forum kicks off PHOTO/LIVE STREAM

The 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, held under the theme "The Mission of the Media in Promoting Peace: Restoring Truth and Rebuilding Trust," has opened in the Azerbaijani city of Shusha, with President Ilham Aliyev attending the opening ceremony.

The forum has brought together around 160 media representatives, experts and senior officials from 54 countries, along with representatives of approximately 30 international news agencies, more than 60 leading media organisations, and around 10 international organisations and companies, Caliber.Az reports per local media. 

The programme includes panel discussions, one-on-one meetings and interactive sessions focusing on topics such as the role of the media in peacebuilding, cross-border dialogue between media organisations, restoring public trust, international cooperation against disinformation, creating a safe digital information environment, media ethics and responsible journalism in the age of artificial intelligence.

According to the organisers, the forum aims to encourage practical measures to rebuild trust between societies, strengthen digital solidarity and promote peace by highlighting the importance of responsible media practices.

The previous edition of the Shusha Global Media Forum was held from July 19 to 21 last year.
