Azerbaijani president honors Jamaica’s independence, looks ahead to stronger partnership
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has conveyed a message of congratulations to Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness and the Jamaican people on the occasion of the country’s national holiday, Independence Day.
In his letter, President Aliyev extended warm greetings on behalf of himself and the Azerbaijani people, expressing sincere wishes for continued prosperity and peace for the Caribbean nation, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“Dear Mr. Prime Minister,
On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you and all your people on the occasion of Jamaica’s national holiday – Independence Day – and convey my best wishes,” the Azerbaijani president said in a message.
President Aliyev also noted the significance of 2025 as it marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Jamaica. He voiced optimism about the future of bilateral ties.
“This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Jamaica. I am confident that we will continue our joint efforts to strengthen our friendly ties in line with the interests of our peoples,” the message noted.
Concluding his letter, President Aliyev wished Prime Minister Holness personal health and success, and extended his best wishes to the people of Jamaica.
“On this remarkable day, I wish you robust health, success in your endeavors, and everlasting peace and prosperity to your friendly people.”
