Azerbaijani, Turkmen leaders pose for photo in Shusha’s Dashalti village PHOTO
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov posed for a commemorative photo against the scenic backdrop of Dashalti village in the Shusha district on July 17, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Dashalti (Daşaltı) is a historic village located just below the city of Shusha in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region. Liberated by Azerbaijani forces during the 2020 Second Karabakh War, the village has since become a symbol of post-conflict revival. It is undergoing extensive reconstruction as part of Azerbaijan’s broader efforts to restore liberated territories. The development plan includes new residential areas, public infrastructure, and cultural landmarks. In May 2025, a newly built mosque in Dashalti—designed in traditional Karabakh style—was inaugurated, underscoring the village’s spiritual and national significance.
