Azerbaijani leader marks Egypt’s national day with message of friendship
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on the occasion of Egypt's national holiday, Revolution Day.
The message was published on the official website of the Azerbaijani head of state, per Caliber.Az.
In the letter, President Aliyev extended his congratulations to both his Egyptian counterpart and the Egyptian people, stating:
"On behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to your entire nation on the occasion of the national holiday of the Arab Republic of Egypt – Revolution Day."
Aliyev emphasised the growing ties between Azerbaijan and Egypt, highlighting the importance of mutual visits and sustained communication in advancing bilateral cooperation.
"The dynamic development of relations between Azerbaijan and Egypt is a source of great satisfaction. High-level reciprocal visits and regular contacts play a significant role in enriching our cooperation with new substance."
He also expressed optimism about the future of bilateral relations, citing the untapped potential across various sectors.
"Today, there is substantial potential for deepening our relations across various fields. I am confident that, for the sake of our peoples’ prosperity, we will continue joint efforts to leverage these opportunities and further expand our traditional friendly relations and fruitful cooperation."
Concluding his message, President Aliyev conveyed heartfelt wishes for President al-Sisi and the Egyptian nation:
"On this momentous day, I wish you robust health, happiness, and success in your endeavours, and everlasting peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Egypt."
